Captain Lawrence Tasting at the ‘Beer Here’ Exhibit

This Saturday, as part of its tasting series in the beer hall at the end of its “Beer Here: Brewing New York’s History” exhibit, the New-York Historical Society will host Captain Lawrence at 2 and 4 p.m. Brewery representative Keith Feteke will present Captain Kolsch, Liquid Gold, and Pale Ale. Tickets are $35,  more information here.

Scott Vacarro, owner and head brewer, began brewing beers at the young age of 17 and went to the  Fermentation Science Program at UC Davis. He opened the brewery in 2006 – named after Captain Lawrence Drive, the street where Vacarro grew up – and recently expanded into a new location in Elmsford, NY with more brewing capacity and a large tasting room.
