The Gate, Park Slope

Continuing our series of Good Beer Seal posts is Park Slope’s The Gate.

In a neighborhood full of quality bars, The Gate is among the best. It has a great beer list and is often the site for releases of the latest beers from breweries like Founders and Carton. Brewery nights often draw the brewers like Garret Oliver of Brooklyn Brewery, and occasionally feature specially aged beers.

The bartenders are friendly, knowledgeable, and more than happy to help you make your beer selection. The bar is large and has a great patio is for people (or dog) watching on Park Slope’s Fifth Avenue in the warm weather.

The Gate is located at 321 Fifth Ave. in Park Slope and is open from 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The closest subways are the R at Union St and 9th St, the F and G at 4th Ave.
