Since trying Founders‘ brews for the first time at the Long Island Spring Craft Beer Festival, not only have we been on a quest to find KBS, we’ve snapped up any other Founders beers we can get our hands on. This includes a four pack of their current seasonal, Cerise. Made with “fresh Michigan tart cherries,” it starts slightly tart and finishes sweet. The beer itself has a light reddish color.
Thought it was a bit too sweet for me to drink the whole bottle, overall I enjoyed it. It’s not what you expect in a good way. I think that’s the best thing about Founders. You get beers that are different – that aren’t run-of-the-mill (at least from what I’ve tried). The brews are memorable and delicious. Founders is quickly becoming my favorite brewery.
