Flying Fish Imperial Espresso Porter

Last week we finally finished off the last of the beers we picked up in Philly (back in April) with Flying Fish Imperial Espresso Porter. It poured black with a tan head. The aroma was mostly coffee with some chocolate in the background. There was a bit of a syrupy mouthfeel but it wasn’t too thick. The strong coffee aroma became a more subtle taste that combined with a slightly burnt roasted character for an interesting aftertaste.


I loved this beer so much, I totally hijacked it after Giancarlo poured it and drank more than half. It was chocolatey and delicious. I savored its smooth malty goodness and am so upset that we can’t get it here in New York!
