Bierkraft immediately pops into our minds when we think of where to get the best in craft and artisinal beer in Brooklyn. It may not look like much from the outside but once you walk in you’re confronted with a huge selection of beer from domestic and foreign craft breweries that you can either take home or drink in the shop. In addition to their large bottle selection, there are usually at least fifteen beers on draft (often more) and one or two casks available for pints and growler fills. There are free tastings on Tuesday nights led either by Bierkraft staff or brewery representatives. These are great opportunities to learn the nuances of tasting beer and meet some brewmasters. Beyond their beer, Bierkraft also serves sandwiches, cheese and charcuterie. Now that it’s summer you can also enjoy beers outside on their back patio.
