The Manhattan Cocktail Classic begins this weekend and mostly focuses on hard liquors. But this year beer will grab some of the spotlight with the Declaration of Beer Independence event put on Saturday by Terroir Wine Bars. The group will be leading attendees through four great breweries: Captain Lawrence, Two Brothers, Left Hand, and 21st Ammendment. Each brewery will have their flagship beers as well as some of their more experimental brews to go with a wide range of foods. For more details visit David Flaherty’s (Operations and Bar Manager at Terroir) blog Grapes and Grains. The event runs from 3 to 5 p.m. and tickets are $44 per person.
