Next up for the Good Beer Seal bars: Bierkraft in Park Slope.
At Bierkraft, a combination bottle shop, bar and eatery, you can purchase some of the rarest and most delicious beers from all over. On tap you’ll often find the latest brews from local breweries like Barrier, Kelso, Carton, and Sixpoint. Draft beers are available in full growlers, 22 oz. bombers, or a pint which you can have in the shop or outside on the back patio. The prices for bottles are noticeably higher than other beer stores, but they’re priced for consumption on premises, so you can pop open that rare lambic or aged imperial stout you just dropped a bundle on and enjoy it right away.
As far as food goes, there’s a selection of snacks, cheese and charcuterie, but the sandwiches are where it’s at. They’re delicious and big enough to split (or have for yourself).
Bierkraft holds frequent events including free Tuesday tastings and a monthly IPA night, and will soon include an in-house brewing operation. Much of the equipment is already in the shop.
Bierkraft is located at 191 Fifth Ave. in Park Slope and is open at noon daily. Closest subway is the R train to Union St.
