We’re so excited to be collaborating with Tri-Tip Grill, which has locations in Grand Central Terminal and Rockefeller Center. Owner Dave Kassling has generously offered to give us a steak to do some beer pairing experimentation.
One of the signature menu items at Tri-Tip Grill is a whole tri-tip steak you can take home and cook yourself. The beef is aged for 21 days, applied with a secret rub, charred on an open flame, then smoked in a wood chip smoker for two hours.
The meat comes with instructions on how to cook and carve.
So, help us out! We’re going to cook the steak and pair it with a bunch of different beers to decide on the best pairing. What beer would you use?
