Last week, The Bronx Brewery celebrated the launch of its new beer, the Bronx Brewery Black Pale Ale, at Jimmy No. 43. It’s pouring in select bars and restaurants in the Bronx, Manhattan and Westchester through February.
“The intent behind the Black PA was to create a complex and unique beer from the dichotomy of dark malts and bright hops,” says Head Brewer Damian Brown in a press release announcing the beer. We thought the roasted qualities of the malt were the highlight, perfect for cold weather. The complexity of the beer is displayed even more when the beer is on cask.
This is The Bronx Brewery’s fifth offering. Its first was a flagship Pale Ale released in 2011. This past April the brewery introduced a limited Bourbon Barrel Aged Pale Ale, over the summer released a Rye IPA, and celebrated its first anniversary with a Zinfandel Aged Pale Ale in September.
On Thursday, January 17, The Bronx Brewery will officially celebrate its launch in Brooklyn with a party at Barcade.
