On Thursday, July 11, Alewife in Long Island City Queens will host a Peekskill Brewery night, featuring some awesome beers from the brewery just up the Hudson. Brewer Jeff “Chief” O’Neill will be on hand, and Alewife will offer food pairings for the beers.
Here’s the beer list:
Midnight Toker – Black IPA brewed with Mosaic and Nugget hops, finished with freshly roasted Mexican Terruno Nayarita beans from Coffee Labs in Tarrytown, NY.
Shotgun Willy – Rye IPA overhopped using an abundance of Nelson Sauvin hops.
Higher Standard – A Triple IPA with Simcoe and Citra Hops added to the kettle, coolship, hopback, then dryhopped twice in the fermenter.
Eastern Standard – IPA with Simcoe and Citra hops, grown for Peekskill at Carpenter Ranches in Granger, WA.
Lower Standard – Light bodied Half-IPA.
Amazeballs – Single Hop American Pale Ale using Australian Galaxy hops.
New Wagon – Strong Ale, brewed with British Maris Otter malt and East Kent Golding Hop.
Simple Sour – Brewed with wheat, corn and brettanomyces.
Hop Common – Unfiltered with amber hues and a medium body. Segal Ranch Nugget and Cascade Hops.
Skills Pils – An international style Pilsner with German malts, New Zealand Riwaka hops and American lager yeast.
Share The Rainbow – Belgian-Style White Beer, brewed with fresh oranges, pink peppercorns and brettanomyces.
