Oktoberfest at Brouwerij Lane

If you aren’t interested in the oyster extravaganza happening at Oystoberfest at Alewife this weekend you can find a more traditional Oktoberfest at Greenpoint’s Brouwerij Lane this Saturday, September 28. The bar will have some classic German beers like Spaten Oktoberfest and Gaffel Kolsch and some harder-to-find brews that could challenge your perceptions of German beers, like a porter fermented with brettanomyces yeast for a bit of a funky aroma and taste. The list also showcases some rare German examples of cask lagers. Here’s what you’ll find:

Gaffel Kolsch
Jever Pilsner
Riegele Commerzienrat
Riegele Augustus
Freigeist Gose
Freigeist Abraxxxas Lichtenheiner Weisse
Schlenkerla Helles Smoked Lager
2011 Banhof Porticus Brettanomyces Porter
Banhof Potato Berliner Weisse
Spaten Oktoberfest
Schneider Edel Weisse
Hofstetten Hochzeit Bier von 1810 (in an oak gravity barrel)
Weissenohe Bonator (Franconian gravity keg)
Weissenohe Benediktiner (Francoinian gravity keg)
