Halloween is just around the corner and the city will have plenty of costume parties where you can enjoy some great craft beer. Here are a couple for the weekend and a couple that will take place on Halloween.
Saturday October 26th
Alewife NYC: The Long Island City bar will be hosting a costume party this Saturday October 26th. The beer list will focus on pumpkin and Oktoberfest beers, whose season of availability is coming to a close. There might even be some ciders left from this week’s NY Cider Week. Prizes awarded for the best costumes.
Atlantic Avenue Halloween Pub Crawl: Bars and restaurants along Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn are putting together a costume pub crawl that connects some great bars like The Brazen Head, Waterfront Ale House, and the new St. Gambrinus Beer Shoppe. The crawl will run from 6 p.m.-12 a.m. and there will be prizes for individual and group costumes. Register for the crawl free online or pay $2 at one of the wristband locations.
Thursday October 31
The Gate: The Gate in Park Slope is breaking out some “Ghoulish Draughts” for Halloween like Rogue’s Dead Guy, Westbrook Mexican Cake Imperial Stout, Evil Twin Spicy Nachos IPA, and Southern Tier Warlock. They will also be serving Day of the Dead snacks.
Idle Hands: The basement bar in the Lower East Side will be having a bourbon and beer Halloween party with $6 craft beer draughts and other drink specials.
