Before traveling for the Thanksgiving week New Yorkers have a couple of great options for craft beer events this weekend.
Hand Crafted Tasting Co. will put on its NYC Craft Beer Festival Winter Harvest on both Saturday and Sunday. Two sessions will be held on Saturday from 2 to 4:30 p.m. and 7 to 9:30 p.m. and one on Sunday from 4 to 6:30 p.m. General Admission tickets are almost sold out for both Saturday sessions but there are still tickets available for Sunday’s session. Connoisseur Lounge tickets are still available for all three sessions. The beer list (curated by BeerUnion) will feature beers like Ommegang Take the Black Stout (part of the Game of Thrones series), Victory’s new Dirtwolf IPA, and Sleigh Ryed from Great South Bay Brewing, a Long Island launching its beers in New York City this weekend, on the main floor. The Connoisseur Lounge will have some exciting and hard to find beers like The Bruery’s Autumn Maple and Hugh Malone from Allagash.
Sunday BeerUnion and Beertography will host a fundraiser for Pints for Prostates at Jimmy’s No. 43 from 1 to 5 p.m. For a $5 donation you can get a drink ticket for a beer from 508 Gastrobrewery or a mead from Fuhmentaboudit. Raffle tickets will be available for great prizes like a trip to pick a special bottle from Jimmy’s No. 43’s beer cellar, homebrew classes from Bitter and Esters, and a copy of John Holl’s American Craft Beer Cookbook. Raffle tickets will be $2 each, 6 for $10 or 13 for $20. The raffle will close at 4 p.m. with the winners announced at 4:15 p.m. Drink beer for a good cause!
