Celebrate the Solstice at Jimmy’s No. 43
Saturday marks the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year. Jimmy’s No. 43 is turning the dark day into a celebration with beers from Spain. Starting at 3 p.m. Spanish beers from the importer Iberian United will be pouring. At 7 p.m. you can join in the prix fixe dinner where Iberia United reps will pair some of their beers with a Spanish tapas menu from guest chef Louise Leonard. Ticketsfor the dinner are $65 and include the food and beer. The bar will also be celebrating a christmas tradition from Spain called Caga Tió, that features a yule log decorated with a face and covered with a blanket that after weeks of being cared for by children reveals presents underneath.
