Beer Lover’s New York Release

It’s been a whirlwind year for us here at BeerUnion. Last April, we were contacted by Globe Pequot Press asking us to write “Beer Lover’s New York.” It was an amazing opportunity. For four months, we traveled 4,000 miles around New York State, visiting over 140 breweries, brewpubs and craft beer bars. We went as far east as the North Fork of Long Island, as far north as Plattsburgh and as far west as Buffalo.

We’ve said it here before but we were blown away by the quality of beer being made in New York State.

This process wasn’t without its challenges, but when it came down to it was a fantastic experience. And our hard work is coming to fruition next month. “Beer Lover’s New York” releases on February 11. We could not be more excited about it, and want to share that excitement with all of you!

We’re having a release party at Brooklyn Brewery on February 18, from 7:30-10:30 p.m. Our book is a call to action for all who read it to taste New York beers. And we couldn’t be happier to celebrate it at the brewery that has helped usher in craft beer growth in New York City.

A $15 ticket gets you open bar for three hours (fresh Brooklyn beers), and a $30 ticket gets you open bar plus a copy of our book. We’ll be on hand to chat about beer, New York, and to sign books. Get your tickets here (there are limited quantities, so act fast!).

We’ll be raffling off a great prize with some delicious and limited bottles of beer from some of the breweries we visited. And there will be food.

Looking forward to seeing many of you there! And keep an eye out for some awesome Beer Week events we’ll be a part of.
