Newburgh Brewing Company

Our book tour for Beer Lover’s New York continued last weekend, when we made a trip upstate to Newburgh Brewing Company. Founded in 2012 by Paul Halayko and Chris Basso, a former brewer at of the Brooklyn Brewery, the brewery is located in an old paper box factory in the sleepy upstate town of Newburgh.

We set up in the substantial taproom, which also hosted a cornhole tournament, and enjoyed some tasty brews – Basso’s cream ale is spot on, and the new ICA (India Cream Ale) is pretty great too. Thanks so much to Paul and Chris for having us, and thanks to our friends and family who joined us at the event!
