Saison Day at Threes Brewing

Spring weather has been slow to arrive in New York City but spring beers are certainly available. Threes Brewing in Gowanus Brooklyn will host Saison Day on Saturday March 21m starting at 2 p.m. to celebrate saisons, a classic Belgian style that pairs perfectly with spring and summer weather. Threes will be serving saisons from some of the world’s best breweries and have Allagash Brewing founder Rob Tod and Threes Brewmaster Greg Doroski on hand to help celebrate the popular style. Oxbow at Brouwerij Lane

It seems there is a new brewery coming to New York every week and we’re particularly excited to be getting our hands on some brews from Oxbow Beer this week. This Friday March 13, you have the chance to try some Oxbow beers at Brouwerij Lane in Greenpoint where their Farmhouse Pale Ale and Continental will both be on tap. The small farmhouse brewery is based out of Newcastle Maine and specializes in styles like Saisons and Biere de Gardes. will be keeping their distribution to the city small, with limited quantities going to bars like Brouwerij Lane and Proletariat.

Tørst Turns Two

Tørst, the high brow beer destination in Greenpoint, turns two this weekend and is celebrating with an impressive tap list. The list features imports like Cantillon, De Dolle, and Tilquin alongside domestics like Prairie and Goose Island. Boulevard Launches in NYC

If you didn’t have your fill of beer events last week for Beer Week, there will be plenty more this week when Boulevard Brewing Company launches in New York City. The Kansas City-based brewery has made a name for themselves with a mix of year round and specialty beers like those in their popular Smokestack Series (we’re particularly fond of their Tank 7 and Saision-Brett).
